Dr. Anderson graduated with honors from the University of California Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 1994. She earned her Doctor of Medicine and participated in her General Surgery Residency at Northwestern University Medical School during 1995 through 2004. From 2004 to 2018, she has worked at Kaiser/San Rafael, Unity Point Methodist Hospital, University of Illinois, and Illinois Breast Surgical Specialists. In January 2019, Dr. Anderson joined our practice and is a welcome member of the Saddleback Surgery Division of South Orange County Surgical Medical Group.
She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. She has held positions on the breast cancer and leadership committee, the breast center steering committee, the breast interdisciplinary committee, the surgical safety committee, the commission on cancer committee and many others. She is the current Medical Director of Surgical Breast Oncology for Mission Hospital.
Dr. Anderson’s surgical interest pertains to all aspects of breast disease and includes breast cancer treatment and prevention. She has dedicated her practice of surgery to assist patients with breast disease and its implication on their lifestyles. She is at the forefront of developing programs for high risk breast cancer in our community. Her compassionate sensitivity in addressing the issues of a life changing disease is greatly appreciated by her patients.
