Edith Ellorimo has had an astounding 23+ years of practice in every possible physical therapy setting. In 1997, she was a traveling therapist until 1998 when she began work at an outpatient clinic. Starting in 2007, she served patients in acute and in-patient rehabilitation. From 2001-2009, she worked at a private outpatient clinic where she provided industrial rehabilitation (strength and conditioning for work-related injuries), simultaneously serving patients in acute and in-patient rehabilitation. Beginning in 2009, she had a private pediatric practice until 2012, simultaneously owning and managing a private outpatient practice until 2014. Edith has served as a physical therapist at Orthocare from 2014 to the present. In addition to her well-rounded experience, she holds several certifications, most notably in Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (Graston Technique), Metabolic Efficiency, and Kinesiotaping. She has also spent many years attending trainings to specialize in a variety of manual therapy treatments for pain management and restoration of joint mobility. As a physical therapist, she takes pride in her work and being a part of her patients’ journeys toward recovery and return to freedom of movement. She always ensures that her patients leave with a smile and with newfound hope that they will emerge stronger than before. She enjoys being able to witness other people’s transformation to a happier and healthier life. Edith’s passions for faith, family, and fitness extend beyond the workplace. From 2011-2019, she and her husband, Jun Ellorimo, opened a specialty performance shoe store that focuses on injury prevention for runners and triathletes of all levels. Also, she co-established a running clinic program for beginners to elite runners. Edith Ellorimo has received multiple recognitions from the City of Harlingen for her contributions to servicing and promoting health and fitness throughout the city. She took part in organizing the first Boston Qualifier Marathon in Harlingen and founded the Harlingen Triathlon Festival.
