Dr. Jason T. Wong, MD, FACS, FRSCS is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Laparoscopic and Robotic surgeon, specializing in the treatment of abdominal and digestive disorders.

Born and raised in Canada, Dr. Wong completed Medical School and his General Surgery Residency at the University of Saskatchewan, then went on to complete a two-year fellowship with Dr. Lee Swanström of the Oregon Clinic, one of the pioneers in minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Wong joined the faculty at the University of Massachusetts in 2005, where he was an Assistant Professor of Surgery until relocating to California in 2010. Dr. Wong’s clinical areas of expertise include gastrointestinal surgery (including surgery for GERD and Colon resection), and complex hernia repair. He is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, and has authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and surgical textbooks. Dr. Wong’s goal is to deliver the highest quality of caring, compassionate surgical care to each and every patient and he was awarded the Patient and Family Centered Care Champion Award at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in 2013.

Dr. Wong is fluent in English, French and Cantonese; he is currently working on his Mandarin. In his personal time, Dr. Wong enjoys spending time with his wife and two young sons. His hobbies include golf, hockey, guitar and snowboarding.
